Order to spray in

I'm getting my 68 Mustang ready for paint and have a question about what order to spray the body and engine compartment in. The body will be SPI white, and the engine compartment will be flat black. I'll also need to spray the inside of the doors and dash in black too. Is it best practice to spray the body first then go back and do the others or vise versa? I had the engine compartment and doors sprayed once before, but while doing some primer work on the body overspray got under the plastic and I'll need to reshoot. I thought it would be easier to keep those areas clean, but I either didn't have them taped off well enough or I had some air flow that went under the car.

What are you using for masking paper and tape?
The quality of the materials makes a big difference. Also, list the steps on how you mask off an area.
