I've painted these stinger hoods before but always with base/clear. I wanted to use singe stage black on my upcoming project but also need to paint the red stinger so trying to figure out the best way to go about it.
I could spray black, then singe stage red, then clearcoat over everything. This would be easy with the hood, but I would also need to clear the whole hood surround area because of the tip of the stinger on the nose. Would there be any visible difference between some panels being only single stage and some single stage with clear over top?
Or maybe I'll need to use single stage black/red and clear over top. Any thoughts?
