Painting truck camper stove

Ay guys..

So I've got an old four burner 80's Wedgewood propane stove in my truck camper that's seen better days. It's a brushed nickel finish and has some surface rust on top in a few areas but overall in good condition.

Planned on sanding her down with some 220/320 and shooting some white epoxy primer I have on hand. Was curious what finish you guys would recommend. Thinking some kind of high heat white enamel.

Appreciate any insight you guys can offer.

Is that a good idea? Perhaps you could rub the surface corrosion off with steel wool, then keep it waxed with a polymer wax. I don't think there is a refinish paint available that will be good for that use, really. Header paint, for example, is flat, non-catalyzed, and won't clean up well.
