Primer for my plow truck

Great forum, and I'm hoping SPI epoxy primer is as great as I read it is. ***Disclaimer*** I am not a body man and this is arguably my first paint job.

Here is the question, I have a 89 bronco down to bare metal, but I still need to plow driveway this winter with it. I will only plow maybe 8 times a winter. No salt, only snow. Can I do two coats off epoxy primer and get through the winter? It will be parked in a heated garage, but will clearly get wet in the process of plowing.

I'm already racing mother nature to get it primed in appropriate temps, and I will have body work to complete after primer..... So I can't paint it yet.

Thoughts and ideas? Thanks for the forum and the extensive knowledge shared. It gives guys like me the confidence to learn a new hobby.

I would think you should be ok as longest to cover all bare metal areas nice and even,,i mean you gonna use it dont matter what so just make sure you cover really good... good luck

Thanks guys. I bought waterborne cleaner from SPI, now I see I need solvent based, too? If so do I need to get SPI ordered or will something else suffice?

Dont know about solvent based, guys here claim the solvent stuff can dissolve stuff you are trying to wipe off. I would just suggest you just double down on getting rid of all the bad stuff and dont paint over any rust, or at least make sure you remember where it is before you go to paint it next year so you dont have to go back down to bare metal when you go to paint it for good.

I heated my "paint booth" to 70, wiped with waterborne W&G cleaner and sprayed three coats of white epoxy primer. As a noob, I found it quite easy to shoot. I pulled it off with out a run, and only some minor fisheye in the first coat.... Tried uploading pic, but it's too big. Let out sit for couple hours then moved it into a heated garage, 70° for

Here it is
