Question About Setting Up New Air Compressor

I just purchased a 60 gallon Craftsman air compressor, my old 30 gallon finally died.

My question is, would it be feasable to plumb in my old 30 gallon tank for more air storage? I was also thinking if I installed the auxillary tank between pump and big tank that maybe the auxillary tank would catch most of the condensation before it hit the new main tank. Yes, no?

I have read of installing an oil cooler between pump and main tank to cool the air and reduce moisture before the main tank, and wanted to know if an auxillary tank ahead of the main tank will even cool the air at all before entering main tank.

It would be nice to have the best of both worlds, extra storage and dryer air. Am I thinking wrong?

I was planning to run 30 to 50 ft of copper pipe for the moisture removal along with filters and what not.

This is a backyard garage so any tips from the more expierenced is appreciated.

I am in the process of running a subpanel and circuits for welder, plasma cutter, air compressor ect. then i will start the pipe plumbing for air compressor and have more questions.
