Reactive reducer ?

S

Senile Old Fart

How does it react?
Is it a catalyst and reducer in one package?

Thanks.

Normally it is nothing more then urethane reducer in the can and less then 1% ISO added.
That is the only one I'm familiar with in this industry and used in base coat to prevent wrinkling and lifting problems on re-coat.

I have a gallon of PPG, can I use it with SPI white base?

No, the DDR has a short shelf life and is most likely shot now, if it was new, yes you could but you get a better ISO by adding one of the clear activators.

This is a near full gallon of DRR1185. is it suitable for a gun wash, or should I just dispose of it?
I have no idea how old it is. I am in the process of cleaning out my shop and it was in the paint locker.

As I dig deeper into the old stuff I expect to find a half jar of blue Murano pearl from the 70's.

If I had it I would throw it into my solvent recycler, lol.

It would be OK as a first rinse for a dirty gun, I guess.
