Red metallic dosen't match

I painted my car all at once except doors weren't on it...but painted at the same time and in the vertical position. They dont match the car..I'm gonna paint it again all together. Will a couple of caots of base make it look right or do i need to seal it again ? Was black epoxy sealer then 3 coats of base..

Black sealer was your main downfall. I would imagine a red metallic would need 6-8 coats to achieve full coverage, maybe more. I am a firm believer in matching the sealer as close as possible to the shade of the base to limit the amount of coats of base. It is still not completely covered, but gives the illusion of coverage. In reality, a base will eventually be the same color over any color sealer, but getting it there takes a ridiculous amount of base in some cases. You don't need to seal again. I would spray the doors blending into quarters and fenders. Keep the color away from the tops of the quarters and fenders so as not to cause a mismatch there.

Thx guys..car was stripped to metal,3 coats base,3 coats uv clear. You think a compleat redo over existing finish would be to many mil,s.?

What do you mean by complete redo?

Sand your existing finish/clear with 600-800 to get it prepped, trying not to break through to the existing base. This will take off a decent amount of clear in itself and get it nice and flat, free of any orange peel or trash. Once you get to this point clean everything really good to remove any sanding residue, fix your base like TK mentioned above, and then 2 or 3 coats of clear for the affected panels.
