Refinish window molding

I have an 87 mustang that I'm working on. I would like to know what to use on the quarter window moldings to smooth them out?

I have a 3m product called 5895 that I used on the bumper cover and worked well. I thought about trying the 5895 on the moldings.

What about glazing putty?

I have used Evercoat polyflex on them: http://www.evercoat.com/productDetail.aspx?pID=8

Took a couple thin coats and turned out well for me.
