Removing Old Compound

Hey guys, I have a black truck that I used polishing compound on several months ago. While washing it this past weekend I found a couple of spots where I did not get all of the old polish off. It seems awfully stubborn coming off, what is the best way to remove it? More polishing compound?

Some of the 3M compounds would survive a nuclear blast most likely. Hellish stuff to remove when dried. I had to fix one that someone else started. It had blackish grey 3m polishing compound spatter everywhere. Some of the spatter spots the only thing that would work was a razor blade. Nothing else would touch it.

Yikes hopefully this Chemical Guys stuff isn't built like a cockroach LOL

I still have a lot of spots of Chemical Guys compound all over my car that I’ve never been able to remove. WGR, more buffing, nothing removes it.

I've learned that an old skool eraser removes compound from plastic. Have y'all tried a Mr. Clean sponge?
