Resin type?

I'm starting a 63 vette project, and am new to fiberglass. Looking for some advice. I have heard that epoxy resin can be used on these old cars and is stronger and won't shrink like the old stuff. Is this true? Once all the fiberglass repairs have been completed, should I epoxy prime and then start with the fillers and glazing or the other way around? Whats the best filler to use? Any advice at all is greatly appreciated.

the West 105 epoxy resin system is pretty good. evercoat has a new epoxy hybrid filler i plan to try next.
