Sag in SS metallic base, should I sand it before I clear it or will it make it worse?

I did an old Blazer with a metallic SS (SW Dimensions). Barry said to clear it and suggested calling the SW techline. Even they said that if you don't clear it, it will chalk up in 6 months. I guess whether to clear or not depends on what SS you choose.

Anything is possible. I did install a new desiccant dryer prior to painting. It is the pipe type that uses beads. My shop air is pretty dry.

I have 2 20 gallon belt driven 220 volt compressors that each put out around 10 cfm each at 90ish psi. They are running in parallel. The air then goes through an old truck ac condenser. From there it goes into a 60 gallon tank. From the 60 gallon tank it goes through my desiccant dryer. The to the gun with a filter on the gun.

It rained both days I painted and it was humid as heck. The blue coat was pretty heavy especially with the final drop coat. Hopefully it was weather and combined heavy paint film thickness.

Hopefully with the time in the sun all this will be behind me.
