Sand Throughs...oops

I have a few fairly significant sand throughs on my hood but have run out of epoxy to recoat. My fault for thinking I wouldn't sand through and all would be well. Would it be okay to use SPI 2K Primer now or should I let it sit until I can order more epoxy (later this week)? I don't know how flash rust (if any) would affect the overall job if I were to wait on epoxy to arrive. It's been cleaned with W&G so I would assume rust would be minimal.

2k over bare metal is poor practice and not recommended for restoration work. That being said some collision shops routinely do it.

Thanks for the guidance! I had a sneaking suspicion but was hoping it would be fine. I'll wait for the epoxy. Does 2K have poor adhesion to bare metal? I remember back 30 years ago my dad sprayed regular primer on a completely blasted truck and it was fine for at least 5 years when we sold it. We used implement paint from Tractor Supply over the top of it though, looked great after the 2 weeks of wet sanding and buffing (that stuff was tough).
