Scuff epoxy before filler?

I don't see any need to wipe it with anything unless you have reason to believe it was contaminated.

I always thought that sanding epoxy before filler was not recommend because sanding removes epoxy, potentially creating thin spots and therefore decreasing corrosion protection ie. the whole reason for using epoxy.

I think the reason for not sanding is that the chemical bond is stronger than the mechanical bond (if its fresh epoxy). You’ll get a better bond without sanding.
As for cleaning those handprints, i wouldnt think twice about wiping it off with 710.

Thanks all. Looking for a post that pertained to 'prior to filler' work. Wasn't going to sand; only wondered if it would hurt to wipe with 700 or 710 prior to filler. Sorry for any confusion. Probably should have started a different thread. Looks like I can wipe with 710 and dry well and then add filler, sand and then 2 coat epoxy again to cover any sand thru areas and wait 24 hrs before high build. I will seal and block with epoxy before color and clear. Thx again to all; it's nice to have help readily available.
