Scuffing truck bed for paint.

Thanks guys. Strainer is out and air is as you say. I always check the knob on the bottom. Are those settings with the silver cap?

Yes. Ask what brand and temperature reducer they used. Rarely do I use anything faster than 885, but I am in Texas:)

I've heard over the years that if base that has been reduced is left in the can, it will eventually ruin. I've never bought paint already reduced so I have no way to verify true or false. Maybe someone will know if this is true or not.

Went back to the paint store today to get more base. I asked them about what reducer they put in their paint that they mix ready to shoot. They said it is a mid temp Wanda reducer.
I told them I just wanted straight base and I would use my own reducer. They said the Wanda reducer is specially formulated for their base. I told them just sell me the base.

I have only recently started using Wanda but have shot it three times and never used anything but SPI reducer in it with just an oz of clear activator (per sprayable quart) My jobber knows that and has never criticized me. Unfortunately, it is all about selling product for most companies, not providing all the information available.

On the other hand, I would not expect them to warranty the paint if I did not use their reducer.....Oh well. :)

One more question. I sprayed the base and it layed down good. Only problem is I have a couple of dry spots in the base. Not bad, just a few spots where I got a little too far from the panel.
Will this show after cleared? Or will it all go away when cleared.
