Shelf life

Almost 1 year ago I bought epoxy and activator. I probably popped the seal a few weeks later and maybe used half last winter. The tech sheet says the activator should be tossed after 1 year of opening. I'm borderline. Since I need more, I was thinking get a fresh gallon for the exterior work and use the borderline stuff for like inside door shells/skins etc. Am I asking for trouble?

I also bought some turbo, activator and reducer but that wasn't opened at all so I assume I am good here.

Turbo and part-a epoxy are good. All you can do is test the activator; if stored in the house, the whole time should be fine.
But test to be safe.

Stored in an attached garage. I can mix and test. I have some spots to touch up after welding. If it kicks, its good to go?

I ended up buying another gallon of epoxy for the external panels because I didn't want to chance it.

But I finally popped the covers on the old stuff (well the activator cap was stuck on good but I got it free) and it all looked OK. Inside of the activator looked normal.

I mixed up some and it seemed to cure just fine. I figure I'd use this old stuff up on stuff like inside of door shells before I skin them and inside of fenders using the new stuff on the exterior surfaces. And touching up weld burns on the inside of the car.

Anything wrong with this plan?
