Should you scuff before sealer

Thank you to all the contributors on this site that have have helped me to the final stage of my project directly and indirectly.

My situation is this, I am doing my first complete paint job on a LX470..yes probably not the best size vehicle to learn on and I realize that now. So I have done all the body work and sprayed 2k where needed, entire vehicle has been sanded with 320 and that was 2 months ago. The question I have should I go over the entire vehicle with a gray scoth brite, blow off, clean with solvent w&g, let dry and tack then shoot sealer? Or is it necessary to lightly sand with maybe 400? I am using spi reduced epoxy to seal and black single stage if that makes the next step any different.

Thank you in advance
Anthony

Being that it is black single stage, I would use a maroon scotchbrite. The sealer will go over that easily. I would also go over the car with w&g or wash with dawn soap and water before sanding to remove contaminants that may have landed on the surface.

Thank you for the quick reply. I did go over it all yesterday with spi waterborne and man was it nasty, next time I'll use the dawn soap. Thanks again for the help.
