spi epoxy prep work

ok, just to clarify for myself, am I to wipe down bare metal properly prepped with only spi waterborne grease and wax prior to top coating with epoxy? Also, spi epoxy is ok to use over properly prepped plastic bumper covers, claddings, etc? DO these need to be wiped down with only waterborne grease and wax too, or is the standard grease and wax remover from spi ok?

ether is fine . just let it flash off and dry. there is nothing wrong with solvent cleaners other than rushing it and trapping solvent.

Waterborne w&g remover is more suited to plastics as it is more of an anti static from what I have been told. Either works, but if you keep the static down why not?

Also, solvent based cleaners on plastic can ignite from a spark due to static electricity. I use a little solvent on a plastic bumper once in a while to remove road tar, after the waterborne wipedown. Here in the desert it's freaky how much static can be generated by plastic, or even ungrounded metal.
