SPI epoxy primer open window question

I know it stated that the open window is 7 days.
The question is…Is that affected by the 90 degree days we are having in Texas?
I’m on day 6 so I’m thinking it’s probably best to scuff with 180.

I know sitting in the sun can reduce it by about half.

If it’s been really hot but no sun exposure I will cut the 7 days short just to be safe.

Yes it will shorten the window. Be on safe side and scuff or sand it. Ive always sanded anything over 3 days . I hate having to redo something because I got in a hurry. I think most paints cure time is based on a 70 degree temps.

Thank you guys for supporting the “real”
barn hacks.
I was more comfortable with this type of process in the previous century, ( circa 1980) when my ignorance was bliss and all I knew was sand and prime….because I couldn’t afford paint.
I’m hoping I can pull this off, and all you guy’s posting your projects is inspiring.
