I am painting a 72 Corvette and getting the trim metal parts ready. I understand how to clean and scuff the aluminum wiper door, wiper grill, deck grills and fuel door per tech sheet.
The side fender gills or grills are chromed, the background is painted body color and the edges are either masked or razor bladed to expose the chrome, see photo of what it is supposed to look like.
I kinda of hate to scuff the inside chrome to 80 grit to epoxy. Any suggestion on how to paint? I might just clean, clean, W&G remover, and then epoxy with no scuff, thoughts?
