That looks great, texasking! Lots of sheetmetal on that Caddy (with many curves and angles). Nice job.
Those quarter panels (and trunk) are longer than most beds on new trucks.:) This car was relatively rust free, but it sure wasn't straight and had some typical repairs from days gone by. Holes drilled everywhere, way more filler than was needed because they didn't straighten the metal first, etc. Thanks for the compliment!

looks beautiful. love the color
The owner picked the color, after 15-20 sprayouts were made:rolleyes: The pink and white were both SPI white base, tinted, with a pearl intercoat over both. The colors look much different in person, and it kind of grew on me, but it doesn't show the amount of time I spent getting it straight like a darker color would. She was happy, and that is what is important. Still trying to get a picture after the $10,000 worth of chrome was redone. It also got all new glass (except the rear window) and a complete new white leather and houndstooth interior. Already had an LS, 4l60, 9" ford and 4 wheel discs. She drives it everywhere.

I like the color, as a matter of fact wife has a 57 bird and I have always wanted to buy another 57 that has a color just like or close to that, called mauve (I think).
Shew would never let me.

GREAT JOB!!

It is a Great job. I built a 49 Merc once about that color. It was a little Mustang Playboy Pink and a whole lot of white mixed.

When I put it up for sale, I had a guy tell me "no one will buy that car that color with a big block and four speed." Glad he was wrong. ):

Wow! A lot of work. Nice job. Looks like it was a solid car to start with, no rot?
Very little rust. Some around the back window, front floorboards (I replaced), and a couple small patches on both doors. I moved this job ahead of a couple others because it looked so clean and she was getting antsy. Then I stripped it and found all the previous bodywork. It had a crease from the front bumper all the way to the rear bumper on the passenger side, and they must have drilled a hundred holes for the dent puller but didn't pull half the dent out just filled it up. Four months later I was done with this easy one!
