I have zero experience with other products, so I cannot give you a comparison. I've also only ever painted one car, I'm not done yet, and it's a small job (Triumph Spitfire). However, I used SPI products all across the board (cleaners, epoxy, build primer, base coat, clear coat) and I couldn't have been happier. More importantly, the help and support that I've gotten here on this forum, not to mention that I've texted the owner (Barry, who gives out his cell phone #) of the company twice with questions, in situ, that I got answers to almost immediately.

If nothing else, that should tell you the type of company this is and that dedication, at least to me, obviously translates right into their products.

I switched over a decade ago from PPG to SPI Epoxy primer and have never regretted the change. A quality product and a fair price.
The regular build primer has worked so well for me that I haven't even experimented with the High Build or Turbo (which seems to be a favorite.)
For durability and scratch resistance I like the Euro Clear.
Universal clear is nearly foolproof and the go to clear for show car restorations.
All of the SPI products will meet or exceed your expectations IMHO.

SPI has been around for 22 years and has had numerous high level show winners and they have loyal users. They also have the best techline and service in the industry.

I use SPI 700&710 WG remover, Euro Clear, Universal clear, Epoxy primer and 2k regular build primer. I had used nason and ppg clears before discovering SPI and can say that I will not go back, The epoxy is bar none the best I have ever used and the 2k regular build is my go to. You can count on quality materials at a very good price with the best in the business tech line, Barry has corrected me over the phone and by texts. Who else will answer you when you need help besides Barry and the SPI user forum?

All I have used in my shop since 2005 comes from SPI expect base colors that are not available from SPI. I have used their red, orange, black and white on our personal cars. I painted a customers Mustang SPI red back in 2007 with 6 coats of Universal clear and it still looks like it was just painted and gets awards at shows.

As if the products don't stand on their own, the people behind them are fantastic. These forums are testament.
