Spotting in base repairs. Sealer and intercoat question

I made a few repairs on this fender and door. It’s now sanded, cleaned, and ready to be sealed, painted, and cleared.
My plan is to use my lph-80 to seal the white primer spots with a coat of spi urethane Gray sealer. Then lay down a coat of intercoat clear on the surrounding areas that are still silver also with the lph 80. Then use the lph-80 and my lph 400 to spot in the base. Then let it set overnight and clear it all.
Does this sound like the correct way to make this repair?

If I were doing that repair, I would put color on both panels complete, blend the quarter and hood. You are not gaining anything by blending those panels because you will still have color on the edges, adjacent to other panels. If you only had the primer spot at the front of the door and rear of fender, it would be a good plan.

I do have the original can of paint left that those parts were painted with. And the car has never been left outside so nothing is faded. I’ve got my fingers crossed for a close match.
Just not sure about where to spray the intercoat on a repair that big it seems to me that I’d be better off spraying a coat of intercoat everywhere there’s not sealer. But I’m a novice when it comes to this.

Theoretically, you should not need intercoat, but it won't hurt anything spraying 1 nice even coat over the whole panel before base.

Just thought it might help to fill any scratches that might show on the base. I tried to refine the scratches but being a metallic I was thinking it might help? Plus give a common foundation to start putting the base on.

It will certainly help with that, especially silver.

How should I spray the intercoat? With gun set like I’m spraying base, or for a slick finish like clear?

Thanks man I appreciate it. I’m spraying it to mow evening. So if anyone has anymore tips I’m all ears.

As for blending the hood and quarter panel. For scuffing the clear would 800 be ok on this silver metallic ? Then where do I want to put the intercoat? Just where I think my blend will extend out to? Or the whole area I will clear?
