Spraying AdPro ?

Klleetrucking

Promoted Users
T'king already gave me some advice (Thanks!) on painting '70s era plastic fender wells and the fan shroud but I have some more specific questions.
The "plastic" material is of unknown composition but it is TOUGH! KBS paint stripper won't melt it as I've had to use it to get paint off where the PO ran through something. The material does float in water.
The items are much too big to use the torch prep IMO.

What size tip should I use to spray the AdPro ?

What coverage should I try to achieve? Wet coat? Dusting?

I've had to sandwich some rips with aluminum (16Ga.), should these be masked off when spraying the AdPro, then of course pull the tape just before epoxy primer?

I'll try to attach some pics later today.

Here's one of the rips I sandwiched. 8x32 flathead allen screws and "barrel nuts".

A 1.4 or 1.3 tip will work.
Spray a medium coat of adpro, and you can epoxy in 30 mins to an hour.
Most say two coats but what I have learned
Is one coat does the same thing and cuts down on problems when spraying.

Thanks Barry, you're the best!
