I'm using the Arrow dessicant canister.

Looked at the peep window and uh oh, pink. Time to recharge.
Actually got a lot of spraying before that happened. Full vehicle paint job plus lots of small jobs.
Humidity is only 30 -50% here.

But it was pink!

20 minutes in 250 oven and back to blue.

Back in business. I noticed it took longer this time. Probably need new beads at some point.
But still very cool!
Gotta love science.

not sure where you are dean but if its humid in the summer like it is here in new jersey, that process is going to get old pretty quick. i used to have a desiccant dryer. i would soak the beads sometimes in less than a day. i gave up on that and just got a refer dyer. they are nice however in addition to a refer dryer as a final filer and to bring the dew point down ever further.

Washington state, near Seattle. Not humid in the summer at all.
I've installed the unit last June and have used it pretty consistently since then.
I've had to "recharge" the beads twice in that time.
For my location and activity level it seems to be a good solution.

ok thats good. we are 95% plus humidity prob 6 mos out of the year. by the end of the day sometimes the beads would be floating there was so much water. i would pull the beads out along with prob a pint of water. those just arent good to handle that volume of water. i would need one with auto regen and the size of a 55 gal drum lol.

i will actually be out your way beginning of next month. just across the border at the victoria intl marina. i am having a boat being built right now and the company is having a little owners gathering for a few days. i have never been to the north west. seen plenty of pnw videos. looks really nice. its so flat here in NJ.

I think you will like Victoria. It is beautiful. If you get a chance, check out Butchart gardens, spectacular!

That's what I have it looks exactly the same as the arrow brand. Literally..

Is there a filter inside this desiccant dryer that needs replacing or servicing? Or just the beads themselves need rejuvenating?

No filter in the dessicant canister, just the beads.
I got the Arrow 5 stage system and there is a filter after the dessicant canister. The literature says it is to catch any dessicant dust.

How long and at what power setting?
What quantity/volume of beads per batch in the MW?

I just throw them in on high and go 30 seconds at a time or so. I stop it when I can see they're turning blue. I put them in a big bowl and kind of spread them out.
