The slaughter house

Just finished some parts in the UV clear (first time using it) and it is a gorgeous product! My project is a 1930s coupe....I have 29 parts hanging..... looks like a slaughter house....took me a day to creatively hang the parts for painting ease, but nothing easy about it....big bulbous fenders and curvy parts. This will require a lot of material and no way to get around it. I'm not sure I will be able to get it done with 2 gallons of BC and 2 of CC (unmixed), but am hoping for that. Generally, I'm laying on 2 coats each of BC and CC....for certain pieces a little more, if I see something I don't like. Any input on quantity or do you just keep doing it as best you can and order more if you need to? (SPI black BC and Universal Clear). I'm already well through the first gallon of each and a very long way to go....

As long as your not leaving a bunch of excess product in the cup and everything is spraying good then you have nothing to worry about. Spray like you want and order more.

I know Ive used alot more than I thought I would have.

Write down how much you mix and have left over. It makes it easier to know if you have enough for the next layer of color or clear. If you are planning on sanding and buffing clear you should at least do three coats. That way easier to not sand thru.

Thanks for the good responses and pointers so far......MUCH appreciated!
