First, thanks to Barry, for answering my text earlier today regarding condensation/water vapor in the spray stream - can't beat that for customer service - he warned me of the many 'dangers' of not controlling the water in the line. I'm not a pro, but have painted before, fairly successfully.....but lately my compressor has been pumping more water than usual. All I have is a separator near the tank and then I use the replaceable inline desiccants. Today, I ran out of the 'better' desiccants, so ran down to HF and picked up some of theirs - not a good idea, as they almost completely block the flow. I tried doing without them, and the small piece I sprayed immediately showed the results (little divots/fish eyes here and there), so of course I stopped. I have ordered the Motorguard 'toilet paper' filter as some of you have recommended, and will use it in combo with their inline desiccants. Is that a good plan? I'm not looking for absolute perfection - I can cut and buff and make things look very nice
