Tiger striped my first paint job

I'll also be grabbing a gallon of intercoat and slow reducer from spi for the respray. Gonna save it for the technique Chris hamilton mentioned, just in case I still have issues with the metallic laying out. Reduced intercoat mixed 50/50 with ready to spray base for the last coat

Put off buying the intercoat until you have a chance to test your new setup. You really shouldn't need it for an overall.

I needed it anyways for my prelude that I'm painting after this, it's gonna be white with metallic mixed into the intercoat

Noted though, thank you. I think I'll stick with the coverage coats with a drop coat for this metallic green, figured I'd get it as a failsafe just in case

In my opinion, I've never seen a homebrew 3 stage using metallic that looks better than a factory 3-stage, but I guess someday there's going to be an exception.

I mispoke, it's actually a pearl I'll be mixing into the intercoat on the prelude. Called red interference pearl, from didspade. Looks pretty sweet over white from the couple images I've found on google

just watch out with red pearl. there is no truly red pearl. they always look pink. especially on white. the names are always deceiving.
