Tinting SPI Single Stage white to Wimbledon white?

Anybody have any tips or how-tos on getting SPI single stage white tinted to Ford's Wimbledon white? Thanks for any input.

It would be a crapshoot. Barry might have some guidance but it will require trial and error. Along with the appropriate toners. Paint is mixed within a brand line according to a formula by weight. Without the formula and using a different white than what the toners you will need are, it takes some trial and error.
Are you planning on using this for an overall? Or are you trying to match something? If it's the latter, use a base line that has the formula.

I see you are talking about SS. I was thinking base. I don't think it's viable to try to add toners to the SS. Barry can give you concrete answers, but adding toners to the SS may affect the balance of gloss. I'm no expert on that though. Barry could tell you if it's possible.

Thanks, Chris! It's for a complete repaint on a 66 Ford pickup. Inside the cab, dash, inside bed, etc will all be painted as well. I was thinking if I use single stage, that would cover the entire truck inside and out, then I could add universal clear to the exterior surfaces without having to clear the inside surfaces.

This guy on the SPI FB page did exactly that. Maybe he is here or Barry will address. I was interested in this topic too so I saved the pic last month to review later.

Very simple.
Concept or the HD are perfect fits.
Have the jobber pull their one-gallon formula and tell him to leave out the white and any binder and buy the tint colors.
It probably will be about a pint, dip out and save for future use with the pure white.
Add the tint shake and it will be close.

Thanks, Barry! I appreciate it!
