Tips on Ss Matte Black Application

I assume you'll be spraying your Mustang, and I'll assume your spraying over the black epoxy. Did you sand the epoxy, and will you be spraying a sealer coat?

Is so, what color sealer?

The reason I ask is, if your spraying the Matt Black over black sealer, you may not get good coverage. I'm basing this off of seeing your first time spraying of the black epoxy. I see a lot of tiger stripping. It's going to be hard to see your coverage spraying over black.

Its not a mustang, but yea, i already sanded the black epoxy and just waiting for the SPI matte black to arrive. Ive shot epoxy before but like 10 yrs ago, so i sprayed it to heavy the 1st time. Ill be using a Iwata Kiwami4 with a 1.4 tip @29 psi..

Sorry about that. I was thinking about Marfmar's Mustang.

And keep your air hose clean. And wear a clean paint suit. And keep your shoes clean. And cover your head… :)

Make sure the car is clean. Much of the trash comes from the car itself. Wash it down, be very thorough in cleaning all the crevices. Underhood, undertrunk, jambs, etc etc. Mask off your wheel openings. Tack the car well, Use an old tack in your hose hand to keep the hose clean while you are spraying.

A clean car is the most important piece of the puzzle.
