Like a lot of us, some of us have long term relationships with some of our customers. This '67 Mustang is the only work we have done for this customer but he and I hit it off and have been friends since. This post is not about my shop, the customer, or the car. It's about SPI!! This job was completed in 2007. This paint job is 12 years old. It was media stripped and primed with SPI Epoxy. Bodywork over the epoxy and sprayed with SPI regular 2k. Blocked and primed a few times with SPI regular 2K. The car was then sprayed with SPI White Epoxy (because I usually like white under red because to me it looks "cleaner or crisper). Diamont base followed by 3 coats of Universal. Sanded two weeks later and recleared (some call a flow coat) with 3 coats of Universal. Customer says he drives it about every week, he washes frequently but it was only waxed one time when the paint was about a year old. Still looks very much like the day it rolled out of here! Hats off to Barry and his staff!!
