Using bedliner as undercoating , what is your opinion?

S

Senile Old Fart

I know this is a popular application and many of Rusty's and others photos of it look very nice. I do not doubt the validity of using it as a preservation measure or an appearance measure.

What I wonder about is if a potential buyer of a car with this treatment will wonder what is hiding under the liner?

We all have seen a hundred sins hidden under body shutz, newspaper and bondo, chicken wire and saran wrap or what ever else a creative genius had to work with.

Has anyone ever had a buyer of a vehicle with full bedliner underbody treatment asked or made an issue of it being used to hide something?

My 65 Mustang will be a keeper until it sells, LOL. I cannot decide if I wish to bedliner the underside or shot it body color, or just black epoxy.

What is your opinion?

I show them pics of car being built .

This is why I take so many pictures of the projects I do, it doubles to show the work being done to the owner of the car and will also beneficial to show to potential buyers if he ever goes to sell it..
and that applies to if i'm going to paint it, bed line it or anything that may be done.. The more pictures the better.
