This was just copied off a list of others and most were cheaper, but isn't this going too far. I know things are stupid expensive now but $112.00 for a gallon of Rage
Gold !! Are they using actual gold in the formula now? And I could even make monthly payments on it.

I used Rage for a while but switched to Marson Platinum about a year before 3M bought them.
Switched from Rage when I had some repair jobs mysteriously develop multiple 'cracks' in the bodywork. All work came from the same can. No change in routine on those jobs. Never in more than 20 years had that to happen. Switched to Marson Platinum at that time and no more body filler problems.

The Rage Gold ad I referenced just popped up on my computer and I was shocked to see that price.

And yeah, Chris, the 'America Last' administration has created chaos for everything and everybody. Out of respect for this forum, it is very hard to keep from going off into a political rant on the damage they have done and are doing.

Shine, I understand brand loyalty. When I find a product that works well for me, I will support/use it. I expect price increases as time goes by.
Sometimes the price increases are hard to accept but to maintain a standard of known quality I will continue to use that product. When that products quality decreases OR they insanely increase the price OR they sell out to a communist country, I am done with them. Quietly going from a full gallon to 0.8 of a gallon for the same price some time ago was also pretty shady too but that's 'business'.

As mentioned in my first post, this price was just one of many I observed and was among the highest, but not the highest, on the list. I am sure Evercoat has increased their prices, as have almost everyone, due to the opportunities for blame provided by our weak government. The sellers of
these products have also seized these same opportunities to increase their profits. A lot of these increases are from the trickle down effect. Again, that's 'business'. Southern Polyurethanes has always been fair and upfront when a price increase was necessary. Barry and his staff are one of the highest of moral and respect and support for the customer of companies I have dealt with.

I am not worried about the price of filler, Shine.
You have helped me greatly over the years, not only from replies to my questions but also from replies to others questions. Thank you.

All of this above is just my opinion.

That is exactly why I am trying to get all the metal straight on my GTX. Minimal filler if any is necessary at all, which with my limited metal working abilities there will undoubtedly be some. :(
Well, it's not like we are metal finishing everything. Most of the time if a part needs that much work, we just replace it. But if we do get stuck fixing something, it really pays to get it straight because new vehicles tend to have a lot of weird body lines and you don't want to be trying to mud those up...

I was "told" that the SMART premium filler is re-labeled evercoat. I've used cheap ass fillers so if its garbage I'll know right off the bat. I cant really knock people for price shopping, hell that's how I found SPI and a few other companies that I have had success with.
