What Paint Colors can be used after using Red Oxide Epoxy Primer

I am new to the painting world. But, I am old school too and would like to use SPI's Red Oxide Epoxy Primer on the frame and body parts to my 1955 Chevy 3100 pickup truck. My question is am I limited to the colors that I can paint the truck? I have read enough to be confused to pick a color for the truck. What are my options? Thanks in advance.

Any color paint can be sprayed over any color primer, as long as something called "full coverage" is achieved. The problem comes when the topcoat does not hide well and extra coats are needed to get that coverage. Yellow for instance is usually transparent and should go over a white primer, sealer, or ground coat. If you want to use the red oxide, just do it, later on in the process once you have picked the the brand and color of topcoat, you may need to pick a color of sealer that better suits your choice. But it sounds like you are a ways from that!

P.S. there is more to this subject that I have left out, but if you look up "coverage" as a search of the site, you might be able to learn more.
