I got my car sprayed, cut and buffed (round one ) at the end of the summer . My plan is to give it a once over next spring, my question is when is it safe to use a light car cover ?
Oh, how I could write a book on this subject!
Paint must breathe, so always buy a water-resistant cover and Never a waterproof one.
This applies to factory finishes also.
Years a ago, a lawyer called me to look at a 1-year-old car with 200 miles on it as the paint was bubbling, and they were going to sue chrysler.
The idiot had put car in a barn with dirt floor and covered with 4 mil plastic.
Same as storing the car in water.
