"Where is Shine" follow up.

I supervised 16 women for a few years. One of my duties was to make up a work schedule for a 7 day, 24 hour test facility. There is now way that can be done and keep everyone happy. You can't even convince everyone you are fair.

If you are consistent and as fair as you know how to be, that is all you can do. Beyond that, the rest of us need to remember this forum is a gift to be enjoyed and we should appreciate it. I would hate to think any of our feelings would be so delicate that we would leave in a huff with no regards to the feelings of the other members.

Shine will have to decide what is right for him but it is not Barry's job to worry about it. Shine was pretty hard on a few guys here over the years himself. He is a big boy and I wish him nothing but the best and I too will miss him.

Barry has chemistry to worry about! :)

Thanks for all you do Barry

John

My comment is this. This forum is, in my opinion, the best on the internet. I haven't found another that has as many professional people on it. People who do this stuff everyday. Advice is correct and professional. Now there may be times when people disagree how things should be fixed. That's ok cause there's more than one way to do things. Got on a site one day and the latest response was about two years old. This is a good teaching site. Mp&c write-up other day on welding grinding etc is a perfect example. Better than a textbook. I appreciate him taking the time to do so.
If we will keep everything civil,
We all benefit.

You must have really ticked off one of your Bosses, John. Yikes.

In this time we live in there is so much out there that divides us. We forget that as Americans, most of us are more alike than different even today. One of the great things about cars is the fact that people of dissimilar backgrounds can connect and make friendships over them. This forum is no different. People coming together to help each other out.

LOL. More than once!

Shine will be back shortly. Just think about the times years ago when he use to complain about Hotrodders, com and say he wasn't going back, then a few weeks later he would say the same things all over.

Personally, I think we ought to drop this discussion and just wait until he returns.
No doubt he will one day be reading this thread if he isn't already.
His years of experience and opinions no matter how strong, always added to the knowledge base from which people like myself continually learn from.

Exactly and as a relative new comer, this is the kind of attitude that makes this place so great! I gravitate to this forum, almost daily now, not strictly for the knowledge but also because of the very nature of this forum. I don't know if it is the profession, the age group of the posters, the moderators, or what, but the atmosphere here is better than any forum I spend time on. I am grateful!

Spotted on Facebook discussion regarding washing freshly blasted metal before epoxy versus those who say it is blasphemy...
