White Epoxy base for Light Sky Blue MotoBase

Is there any benefit to shooting enough epoxy to have a solid color base for a light blue? All I can think of is maybe not as many coats of base? If I am using The Perfect Paint Job as a guide I will shoot 2 base coats, wet sand then shoot 2 more anyway... Here is the starting point and the color. I am afraid a single reduced epoxy coat will not cover very well.

Jim, I think you'll get a lot of opinions as every painter develops his own way. Personally, if it were me and I had to do a high end finish on this one, I'd do two coats of white epoxy and let dry a day or two. Then I'd wet sand slick and start the perfect paint job process.

Yea I guess I knew the right answer.. already ordered another gallon of white epoxy just to be sure I have enough this morning.
