White epoxy sealer coat has some splotches, stop or base with full coverage?

Ok and following the perfect paint job, Thanks Barry!

So, I finally got 3 good days in a row to spray SPI white epoxy sealer over uniform SPI 2K gray primer sanded to 600 on a 1968 Corvette, then plan to spray Diamont BASF cordovan maroon base and then SPI Euro Clear.

So finished up the 25% reduced white epoxy late today, single coat everywhere and planning on spraying base tomorrow morning, then Clear the next day.

My single coat of the reduced white epoxy over the gray 2K has a few splotches here and there from I suppose thin coverage. I am certain I have it sealed so if I do a full coverage of the maroon base I hope the blotches will not show? Or should I regroup and lightly sand the epoxy and touchup the blotches or thin spots before shooting base??

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Much Thanks!

First thought is reduced 25%, the max re-coat window is about 18 hours from when you sealed. Being you are in Louisiana you may be pushing it by the time you get base on it.
The splotches are areas where you didn't get full coverage with the sealer. Reduced white epoxy often requires 2 coats. That being said you can shoot it like that, (in general no idea how your car looks) it will take an extra coat or two to ensure you get coverage.
If you are up against that 18 hour window, I would consider spraying an extra coat of sealer. Mix the epoxy 1:1:1 meaning 1 part epoxy. 1 part activator, 1 part reducer. This would be a 50% reduction and you could go to base in as little as 30 minutes after sealer. This would also help ensure you have a uniform surface for your base.
