Why the Perfect Paint Job and the actual product tech sheets don't always jive

I get at least a few calls a week from hobbyists who question why the product tech sheets and Perfect Paint contradict each other so I thought I would explain it here.

The tech sheets are primarily written for the collision shop guy who is looking to use the products as quickly and as efficiently as possible because he works on commission and has multiple cars to do per day.

The Perfect Paint job is written for the guy wanting to do a high end paint on his project vehicle and he's willing to take all the time he needs to achieve maximum performance and gloss from every coating he's using.

If the typical collision shop painter waited 30 minutes in between coats of primers, base and clear and he would starve to death if the shop owner didn't fire him first.

agreed.. custom and collision are two totally diff. worlds.
