Winter storage

lift or storage container. nothing else works . a lift takes the pressure off the tires and suspension and mice cant crawl up very easy .

Feed those rodents with some nice poison and they won't be around long enough to cause any damage.
You may also look into electronic devices that repel rodents if you have an aversion to killing them.

I did the poison route, it works but there is no antidote if your pets get into it. Also the mice will die in the hardest areas to reach. Now I purchased a few of these bucket top traps, and I will say they are deadly. Ive had them going for a couple of months and have caught 39 mice so far. I put a sprinkle of seed/ cracked corn chicken scratch inside the bucket, and check them every few days. One of the buckets is in my metal car port, which is not mouse proof, that's why I've caught so many, but i yet to see any of the usual mouse activity in/ around my vehicles i store in there. Nothing on top of the engine, or in the engine bay where I find they usually start their quagmire of destruction.

I'll be keeping my car in a nice shed with concrete floors, but, there maybe rodents. Any suggestions on keeping the buggers from damaging it? I won't be using a cover.
Thanks!
The bucket trap works very well, little bastards love peanut butter .....lol

The best part of the bucket trap is it never stops catching them. I found 5 mice in the one in the car port one day. No need to keep baiting and resetting the trap. Now they are catching less each time I look since the population has been reduced.

The Cat Union Local #69, won't be happy.

Grilling charcoal in an open box, some in the trunk, interior, and under the hood works great...no car cover they will build condos out of it!
Been using this method for years with great success

I had a hive somewhere near my house, had rats everywhere in yard. they were getting in garage. I have a camera in the garage, and i turned it to the entrance, and caught on motion where they were coming in. I blocked the entrance, and setup traps in the garage. I bought the electric zapper trap and 3 live traps. between the garage and the back yard, I caught and killed 14 rats. I had a big bucket, and would drown the ones I caught with the live trap. Wife got pissed I was killing them, until I showed her the damage they had done to her convertible. Then she was on board. I used peanut butter, and sunflower seeds as bait. Then put mothballs around the garage in corners.

Whacked about 30 of them in my bucket trap this year. Stopped working when the squirrels started eating all the peanut butter... So I have that problem now!!!

I had a shop (business) when I was 29. It needed a lot of TLC before I could open and do business. So mice and rats had been there for a long time. Once I got everything in order and was working, I decided to set up a small mattress in my office so that on nights when I was working late, I didn't have to make the 30 mile drive to my apartment. That was the plan anyway. First night I decided to stay over, I had the AC blasting and showered and crawled into "bed". Turned out the lights and fell asleep, minutes later I awake after hearing some rustling and feeling something moving on the covers. As I was laying there I look down and saw a little rat right about at my waist staring back at me. Needless to say that was the first and last time I ever tried to sleep there. Scarred me for life.
What got rid of them was one thing. Poison. I hated to use it but I had too. If you have alternative ways of getting rid of them that's better than poison, because they suffer for several days before they die.
Making me re think putting a small apartment at my shop lol.
