Long story short I am repairing a 2021 ford f-150 for my brother. Fender, hood, 2 doors. Sealing with SPI reduced epoxy and universal clear. Friend has a body shop so i got him to order the basecoat. It’s Baslac made by basf and I have never heard of it. Just want to confirm it will work with SPI reducer, SPI epoxy sealer and SPI universal clear. Any thoughts appreciated.

It is very common in Germany to refer to most paints as Lacquer or Lac, so don't let the name worry you. Baslac has solvent and water borne systems, so verify which base coat he got you. The SPI products will work with the solvent system, but use the correct Baslac reducer if it is water borne. You can spray either over SPI primers, as well as spray SPI clears over both Baslac types. Just follow the Baslac times for flash and recoat windows.
I have not used the Baslac, but I have used dozens of different paints and primers, and unless it is some completely new AI chemistry, it will work fine. If you are still concerned, do a small test panel before the truck parts.
