Garage door lubricant

What lubricant would you use on the garage door rollers and chain? It's my home booth.
Thanks

This would depend on what type of roller. You don’t want to lubricate the wheel to track side. If you have exposed bearings on the rollers then yes spray them. Most are sealed. Never heard of doing the chain.

home depot has garage door lubricant lol.

i never looked at it to see what it was but its the company that makes pb blaster. i just happen to notice it sitting there once in awhile. usually around the tool aisle somewhere.

I've seen it. I think it's silicone based. No bueno in a paint area. AI says use a PTFE lube. I have no idea what that is.

ptfe is teflon.

for a spray area you could use a dry lube like graphite spray. i believe they have that there as well. they also have lithium like chris said. fluid film is also good. that is lanolin based and works great.

this is true. my shop was new in 2007 and i have yet to ever lube the garage doors. they get opened end closed every day 8 mos out of the year

What's the garage door doing? I replaced all the rollers on mine, took about 10 mind with a dewalt impact. Got them on Amazon. Nice and quiet again
