Inflatable booth collapse on fresh clear….

I have one of those, allways run the 2 blowers on separate circuits plus I have A generic backup whole house generator.

I would have told him to keep clearing it, would have given a better base to do the repair. Poor guy.

I purchased one of those to paint my Duster, first paint job. I was very careful to run each blower off different breakers and not overload anything, being way overboard careful. Very early on, when I was just playing with it , shooting some primer on panels to see how everything would work, the same thing happened only one blower just turned off, power was still good. Very quickly I ran out and swapped the two blowers, one blows up the structure , one is for exhaust. I got them swapped before it collapsed and touched anything. Pretty quickly troubleshooting and swap

Odd thing is I took the blower that turned off all apart and couldn’t find anything wrong with it. Put it back together and it worked , continued to work for the remainder of the paint job.

Never trusted it, but I always made sure and put it on the exhaust side. Still don’t really trust it , but I do like it. Keeps the overspray off everything else in my shop as much as dust off the car / parts I’m painting. At least that’s what I tell myself.. cleaning up the booth is still a pain each time so it’s probably 6 of one half a dozen of the other. I use it for base / clear work and prime out in the open shop.
