Method to pour paint from a can

I use these for my cans of epoxy and high build.

True that the lip of the can needs to be dry, and I would guess that it helps to use a tape with strong adhesive too. Orange Frog Tape worked great for me. The problem with the spouts to me is the waste if you throw them away after each use, but then again, I use disposable paint cups too and they go straight to the landfill as well.

Thanks guys, I do typically try to keep the spout on the high side. Recently I was trying to add 3 oz exactly reducer to RTS in a mixing cup from a fresh gallon can. Gave up and poured it into another cup to measure it, poured the excess back in the can. Don't like putting activator or reducer back in can like that.

It's okay to use a second cup when you're dealing with a full gallon or even small amounts, just get it poured back quick and get the lid on. The main problem is leaving the lid off for a long time and/or it not sealing properly in the long term. I tend to keep a prep wipe on the bench to wipe off the threads of activator containers, they will get gunked up quick and be simultaneously glued on and leaky.
