Last time I used my Dynabrade sander I noticed the original 6” sanding pad had slightly curled edges. Ordered a couple new pads the other day, one hook & loop and the other for psa discs. The hook and loop looks fine but the medium density pad for psa discs is curled just like my original. Maybe the original was always curled and I didn’t notice. However, it seems like it should be perfectly flat…. The outside starts curling around 3/32” from the edge, leaving the outside raised at least 1/32 all the way around. It’s not soft enough that the weight of the sander flattens it.
Is this typical? I know it won’t make a difference for 180 or 220 but what about higher grits? Are they all like this or should I be sending it back?
