Oldtimer
I may have met my match on this one.
European cars are the worst to take apart.
this thing is unbelievable to disassemble.

FYI on new Audis once a headlamp is unplugged and the car is started it will set off a light on the dash. Only way to get it off is to take it to the dealer.

Audis are a cakewalk to R&I. Just go slow and take a second to figure it out. Only thing I dislike is all the aluminum. Make sure to keep the alum panels free from metal particles or you will get galvanic corrosion.

Jim are you replacing the drivers door along with the fender and bumper cover? Looks like it took a really hard hit and is shoved almost into the rear door.. I know you will fix the quarter easily.

EDIT: just looked at pics again.. Are you replacing both doors?

Thanks for the info:D
I still haven't figured out how to remove the door handle,
The top of the door lifts off with the glass and trim as an assembly.
All that just to get the mirror wire out.

Bondoking: No, I'm repairing both doors, I'm trying to be the "bondoking";);););)

Well ole buddy.. I know you will pull it off,. I have seen you pull and repair things I wouldnt attempt.. Im looking forward to seeing this,., If I had a moment Id like to come see it... I should be in bed now, but life calls.........................................

IMPRESSIVE!!!!!!! Your one hell of a dent puller Jim! That looks fantastic..Looking forward to the rest.. I somehow hear this in the near future " I love 2k"

I'm curious to see how you'll get the door gaps right, especially that rear door. Sure looks too narrow in your original pics. Please keep posting pics. Thanks.

Looks great Jim.. I knew you would pull it and make it look right.. Congrats.. You running the wheel over this one, or is it clean enough to go as is??

I sanded it all with 2000 yesterday and buffed it out. It came out real good.
I'll post pic's when I can.
The car had a pretty nice finish on it so I sanded and buffed a little more than usual.
funny thing, I got almost no urethane wave, and can't figure out why.
Sometimes I get a lot and other times like this, it's really straight.
And I didn't even sand with a block on most of it, just my hand. (???)

All I'm waiting on is the bumper to arrive then I can paint it along with the bottom
side moldings..
