Hi guys I'm repairing an older chevy truck, 1989 with a flare-side bed. I stripped off all the old paint and have repaired many spots with filler and glazing putty. I'm ready to apply Feather Fill G2. Should I epoxy first and then G2 the next day?...or should I do my Feather Fill and block with 80/180 and then epoxy, followed by 2k urethane and then seal with epoxy and paint.

did you do your filler work over epoxy? is there any bare metal? if there is bare metal the "best" way is a couple coats of epoxy then featherfill. colision work is done over bare metal daily. time and end result expectations will dictate your process. if you already did filler work over bare metal just go to featherfill

In theory G2 can go over SMC if you want. I think a lot of people think that the epoxy adds some stability to glass reinforced materials, But even though an '89 is getting kind of old it should not be breaking down unless it sat out in the weather with no paint on it.

Thanks Crash, I think I'll just G2 over the body filler work, and then epoxy when I'm done blocking.
