A-pillar gauge pod

Hey guys, I have an a-pillar gauge pod in my 95 Lightning (F-150). It's one of the ones that simply sits over top of the original with screws or tape holding it in place. I'd like to smooth out the install and integrate it in to the original a-pillar piece giving it a 1 piece look. What would you guys use to do that? Fiberglass? Also how would you duplicate the grain?

The pod is similar to this, but a 2 gauge setup.

First step is to identify what type of plastic each part is made of. I would bet the aftermarket piece is ABS but check for sure. No idea what the oem piece is. Once you confirm what materials you're working with then you can figure out the best materials to use.
