Acetone hurt/damage 2k primer?

Hello guys I'm new to these forums and finally registered! Seriously happy with spi products and the tech support is awesome! anyways I probably should have posted this first before adding another voicemail to the tech line. Anyways I need some help, I scuffed the door jambs(factory paint) on my car, shot epoxy and 2k primer(spi of course) came out perfect and it sat for a week like this. After I shot nason basecoat(reduced not activated, did not clear coat it) and I thought I can pull a fast one by not changing the old paper and messed up BAD plus it sprayed it way to heavy, it just came out terrible(should have shot test panels before even doing this but I didn't). Basically the base coat needs to come off completely, but I was wondering since the 2k came out perfect so can I spray acetone from a spray bottle and wipe off the basecoat(tested a tiny spot and it wiped off easily), scuff, wipe with w&g remover, shoot primer or reduced epoxy, PUT FRESH MASKING PAPER, then shoot base and clear? I tried wetsanding, scuff pads, da with interface pad and it is taking way too long plus too many tight spots and its just not working out for me that way. This is my first full car so I'm definitely new to this and need some advice. So just need to know if acetone or laquer thinner hurt the primer or epoxy in anyway now or later down the road. Thanks in advance.

With the epoxy and sk having a one week cure already I bet washing the bc off with acetone will work, you just want it wet enough to wipe it off quickly. The 2K may swell a little so give it a few hours and rescuff with a scotchbrite before proceeding with the repaint.

Acetone is the most aggressive and should be OK if you do not let it set.
Slow or medium reducer is less aggressive because of lack of Acetone, med has MEK so more aggressive them slow.

If it does soften, just scuff and paint.

Perfect thanks alot I was going crazy trying to sand and wetsanding the jambs. Just wanted to be sure the primer wasn't going to fall off or anything. Thanks again!
