Applying Decals

I would like some advice on how to apply the decals shown in the picture. I've seen tutorials showing masking tape as a hinge. I've read on here about using water with a little dish soap. I've never don'e any decals this long or wide so any advice would be appreciated! One potential problem is tha the decals go between two raised beads, which are a little hard to see in the picture.

A spray bottle of water with 3 drops of dawn dish soap works, the nice thing about using water is it will give you time to position the decal exactly where you want it. Clean the paint surface of any glaze, wax, or compound-wax and grease remover followed by some window cleaner works fine. Peel the backing off of the decal and spray it down, spray the paint surface. Set the decal on and position it where you want it. Use a plastic squeegee and work the water out from the center out-wipe the excess water off as it's being squeegeed out. You can also wrap a towel over the edge of the squeegee to pull the water away once it pushes past the edge of the decal.

Good advice. I might add to work from the center out. I have found it easier to tip the top of the spreader a bit away from the direction of travel so the lower edge is pushing instead off pulling.
