Base over full strength epoxy

Here's what I got. 2 NOS fenders. Sprayed the outside with epoxy, blocked, and filled a couple little spots with glazing putting. Finish blocked with 180. Flipped the fenders over, sprayed epoxy on the inside and hit the putty spots with 2 more coats. But, I forgot a spot on each fender. Can I spray 2 more coats of full strength epoxy on the outsides of the fenders, wait a few days, then wet sand with 400 and spray my base (activated Pro-Spray) and not worry about the spots of putty that only have 2 coats of epoxy on them? Would putting a 3rd coat on just those spots help?

I think i'll be ok, but I want to hear what people smarter than me have to say.

Thanks, Gregg

Having a hard time interpreting what you are asking, but if you want to call me tomorrow 269-426-six thousand, maybe I can help you out and answer you're question.

Lol. Sorry, Chad. What I'm asking is will the spots of putty "bullseye" on me with only 2 or 3 coats of epoxy and no coat of reduced epoxy before base? I usually spray 2 coats of epoxy over filler or putty, let it sit, then spray a coat or 2 of reduced epoxy, lightly wet sand with 400, then spray my base.

I would call, but I work from 5am to usually 3:30 or 5 in the evening. If I get off early tomorrow, i'll call ya.

Sometimes I can't get what's in my head into writing lol

There will be some mapping where the filler is because of absorption

Bob, your reply has me a little confused. Will just a reduced coat of epoxy make that much difference over what already has 2 coats of unreduced epoxy? I just assumed that there would not be any mapping because the unreduced epoxy would cover it, and the reduced coat was mainly for adhesion for the basecoat. Thanks for the education.
